How to Identify the Quality of LED Panel Lights?

As a representative of energy-saving lamps, LED panel light has the characteristics of ultra-thin, energy-saving, long life, high brightness, no radiation, no stroboscopic, etc. It is very suitable for office buildings, shopping malls, supermarkets, campuses, hospitals, hotels, parking lots, factories, and municipal projects and demand of home decoration.


However, the quality of LED panel lights on the market is uneven, which making it difficult to distinguish frpm good to bad.


Ⅰ. How to choose the LED panel light?


We can do a analysis from below situations:


1. Lamp body:


The integrated body means that the LED panel light is in a completely sealed state as a whole, and the panel and the body are integrated. Lamps like this is moisture-proof, water-proof and mosquito-proof, and have a good heat dissipation effect. Since the whole machine is wrapped by metal shell, the service life is always longer.


For some LED panel lights, the panel is separated from the body. Only the panel is metal while the body is plastic. Although such lights are light, the cooling effect is not good.  The power time is long, and high temperature is hard to get out, which causes light decay and shortened lifespan. Moreover, it is easy for dust, vapor and mosquitoes to enter in due to the gop of machine body, therefore, it needs to be cleaned on an regular basis.


2. Profiles:


The material of the fuselage is also related to the service life of the LED panel light. The body high-quality LED panel light is generally made of aluminum alloy anti-oxidation material, which can be used in any humid environment, avoid rust and leakage, etc., also does not affect its daily use.


And some low-quality LED panel lights employ iron body, which is very easy to be rust, and there may be a danger of leakage in a humid environment. To verify whether it is iron, you can just test it with a magnet, if it can attract it, it is iron, then please do not choose it.


3. Light guide plate:


The light guide plate is the outermost part of the LED panel light which derives the light. The material of the light guide plate is generally composite acrylic, ordinary acrylic, imported acrylic, etc. At present, the imported acrylic sheet is relevantly good.


This kind of board has high light guide rate, so that the light brightness of the lamp is uniform and soft, and the service life is very long. Inferior LED panel lights and lighting sheets are generally made of cheap recycled materials with many impurities, poor light transmittance and uneven brightness. Such lights will hurt the eyes and cannot be selected.


4. Lamp beads:


Today's LED panel lights generally use patches as light sources, which have a longer service life and better luminous effect than lamp beads.


Currently, good patch is the 3014 thick double gold wire patch, which is processed precisely, and the life and brightness of each patch are relatively high. The LED panel lights with poor quality generally use single gold wire patch, and some even copper wire, the brightness and service life are greatly reduced.


5. Power supply:


The ballast is the heart of the LED lamp, which is directly related to the service life of the lamp. Presently, good LED panel lights generally use IC to drive constant current power supply, which has protection functions such as short circuit, short circuit and overload, thus very safe and stable, and can well guarantee the life of the lamp.


Some lamp ballasts use solid waterproof glue, which has good waterproof and heat dissipation effects, but it does not have the protection function of the former. And inferior LED panel lights use inferior glue, and some even poured asphalt, so they can not guarantee the life of the lamp. When choosing lamp, be sure to pay attention to the quality of the ballast.

LED panel lights have long service life, low power consumption, no radiation and small size. They are suitable for use in living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, etc. It's safer and more environmentally friendly.
